This project saw the construction of eleven tree cells in new centre-of-road car parking at Skene St between Nixon-Fryers St, Shepparton.
The modular tree cells provide an environment where trees can thrive, with good quality uncompacted soil, sufficient drainage and access to rainwater whilst still providing the strength to support parked vehicles.
The trees have been planted as part of Greater Shepparton City Councils Urban Forest Strategy, which aims to increase the urban forest canopy across Greater Shepparton and to ensure best practice urban tree management. Keep an eye on this site as the trees grow and form an attractive shaded avenue.
The project was completed under traffic.
