The Fryers Street traffic calming project saw the construction of three raised pedestrian crossings along Fryers Street, Shepparton – Shepparton’s premier Café precinct.
The project was undertaken over a four week period and required the development and implementation of several traffic management plans to manage traffic and parking in the busy precinct, as well as ongoing liaison and response to needs of stakeholders and the client (Greater Shepparton City Council).
The project was funded by Greater Shepparton City Council and the Safe System Road Infrastructure Program (SSRIP) (which is a State Government, TAC and VicRoads funding stream) to upgrade high-risk roads to promote walking and cycling.
